Beach

Sandy Cove has direct access to two secluded beaches and also a mile long stretch of more public beach. The calm waters on the West Coast of Barbados are perfect for children and adults alike and allow snorkelers the opportunity to see an abundance of marine life up close.

According to the law all beaches in Barbados are public. This is good, because it gives access to any beach in Barbados and bad, because anybody can get the access to the beach where you want to be.

What makes The Pearl so special it is the fact that Sandy Cove, the condominium where The Pearl is located, has direct access to two white sandy secluded beaches, it is virtually impossible to access them if you are not from the property and you don't want to get wet, so that's how you can get your own private beach!

Also it is very close to the more public beach. You just need to pass the famous Cliff restaurant, a little fish market and you will reach the Paynes beach.

Terrace & Balconies

The large covered terrace is outfitted with a dining table, a bar and wine chiller plus a private uncovered plunge pool ideal for basking in the sun. A private door on this terrace opens to a shared stairway that leads down to the gym, garden, communal pool and the turquoise ocean and sandy beach

Staff

Housekeeper Kendra Coombs - has been looking after the best luxury homes on the West Coast of Barbados for more than 10 years. She is a real perfectionist and would never be satisfied by anything less.

Kendra really enjoys when the property is full of guests and she is always happy to be involved in the process of making their holiday as perfect as possible. She has been trained to make the necessary preparations for special occasions, including fine dining, which, together with The Pearl’s chefs, makes her an excellent member of the team.

Chef Micheala Blackett has been involved in the Culinary field for seven years. She has had the opportunity of experiencing and preparing a number of different cuisines, ranging from Asian, Indian, British, Russian, Italian and her personal favourite, West Indian.

Food is her passion and Micheala always aims to deliver the perfect finished product with every opportunity she is blessed with, and to share her talent among people from around the world. Her future endeavour is to become a world renowned executive chef/entrepreneur, and Micheala strongly believes this ambition is beneficial to everyone.

Chef Peter Walker - "Tosh" - starting with the international Relais and Chateux chain here in Barbados as an apprentice chef at The Cobblers Cove Hotel, he earned his certification in Advanced Professional Cooking at the Hospitality Institute and later received his Chef Certification from the renowned Culinary Institute of America. His training and dedication gained him a place as leader of the Barbados Junior Culinary Team which won gold under his wing in 1996.

Full of charm and knowledge you as a guest will have a chance to learn from and enjoy the company of this fine chef. Peter comes with over 15 years in the culinary arts arena ranging from private guests services to fine dining restaurants and hotels. Chef Peter Tosh can make you feel at home with his welcoming personality.
